Samsung are now fighting hard to draw customers to its latest range, in the increasingly competitive HD LCD market. The UN46B7100 does this by making use of side lit Samsung LED lighting technology to deliver outstanding energy efficiency, especially for a 46 inch screen. The TV takes up a tiny amount of room for its size, with a relatively thin border around the screen, which fades from a grey border to transparent edging. The set is just 1.2 inches thick and even thinner towards the edges, making it virtually disappear when wall mounted and this thinness is one of the unit's defining features.
