The Samsung UN55B7100 LED TV is the largest of the Samsung B7100 series, with a screen size of 55", measured diagonally, but, nevertheless, incorporates the screen into a slim design, with a very small footprint. Indeed, the Samsung UN55B7100 LED TV is just 1.2" deep at its deepest part, and therefore suitable for hanging on a wall, but, even when mounted on its detachable stand, measures just 51.7" x 39.2" x 12". Aesthetically, the TV, itself, is a work of art, featuring Samsung's proprietary Touch of Color™ design, which blends a hint of color with the otherwise glossy, piano black frame.

The advantages of LED ("Light Emitting Diode") technology over conventional, CCFL ("Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lighting") include not only a thinner design, overall, but the possibility of up to 40% less energy usage than a conventional LCD ("Liquid Crystal Display") TV. In common with other Samsung LED TVs, the Ultra Clear Panel has a native resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels, allowing Full HD, 1080p content to be viewed in all its glory, bright, clear, rich in color and deep in contrast.
