Final Thoughts
Overall, it is a great model from Samsung and with the fantastic high definition images it displays, you will not have any problems with your viewing; also, the Auto Motion technology eliminates all possibilities of motion blur.
There are however some notable slipups; for instance, when you look at the screen, there is a reduction in brightness that is in fact a lowering of image contrast and it seems to be affected by the viewing level.
Screen uniformity is another one of its problems; this issue shows up as dark vertical strips on the screen when you watch certain dark scenes.
Sometimes the edges of the screen will light up and some horizontal strips will appear on the screen.
Other than the minor annoyances mentioned above, Samsung has made a considerable effort with the Samsung UN55D8000 to create a stylish TV with accurate color display and internet applications for your browsing pleasure.
